1. Balkan Rent terms & conditions
These terms and conditions, constitute Balkan Rent’s agreement with you for the rental of accommodation.
Your booking is conditional on you accepting the terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, you must not proceed with your booking. By completing your booking you accept that you have read, understood and accepted the terms. If there is any part that you do not fully understand, or if you have a query, please contact Balkan Rent.
On submitting your reservation Balkan Rent will confirm your reservation by email and supply a confirmation number/voucher which should be presented to the hotel or apartment on arrival. Balkan Rent will not have any contract with you for the supply of any product at the price offered until your booking is confirmed and Balkan Rent has received payment. (See PAYMENT section below). 2. Modification of terms and conditions
Balkan Rent reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time without notice and you agree that your continued use of this site will be conditional upon the terms and conditions in force at the time of your use.
3. How to book your accommodation
Simply complete the details in the booking section of this website or alternatively call Balkan rent direct to secure your reservation and pay the total price of your accommodation. The person who completes the booking must have the authority to do so on behalf of all the other travellers in the group, confirms that the people named on it accept the booking conditions, and is responsible for the full cost of the accommodation, including any cancellation charges. He/she will inform other members of the party of confirmation details and any other appropriate information.
4. Age and responsibility
You warrant that you are 18 years of age or over and have legal capacity to create binding legal obligations for any liability you may incur as a result of making this booking.
You warrant that all personal information submitted concerning your accommodation booking is correct. You accept financial responsibility for all transactions made under your name or account.
5. What's included in your reservation
The basic accommodation cost includes the following:-
* Accommodation as confirmed on your booking
* All obligatory hotel service charges and taxes
* VAT
6. What's not included
The basic accommodation cost does not include:-
* Transfers between airport and accommodation
* Excursions and other personal expenditure
* Additional charges for meals or under*occupancy in apartments
* Charges that hotels or apartments may make for facilities such as cots, parking, minibus services, ski rental/school, sunbeds, sauna, tennis courts and equipment, porters etc
7. Payment
At the time of booking the full amount will be deducted from your credit or debit card. Payment transactions are encrypted by a secure payment system endorsed by some of the world's leading banks. This technically secure environment ensures that credit card details cannot be intercepted and are not revealed to anyone other than to financial institutions required to process payment instructions from the customer.
Please note that some hotels in certain countries may require a credit card imprint at check-in to act as a guarantee against any incidental charges that may be incurred during your stay.
8. Cancellations or modifications made to bookings
You may cancel or modify your booking at any time with Balkan Rent and you will be advised at the time of booking of the charges applicable.
Proceeding with your reservation means you expressly accept such charges.
- up to 6 weeks prior to arrival: fixed administration fee of 25GBP (or equivalent in euros).
- between 3 and 6 weeks prior to arrival: 50% of full booking value
- less than 3 weeks prior to arrival: 100% of the amount paid/full booking value
No shows are subject to cancellation charges of 100% of the amount paid.
9. Before you travel
Balkan Rent is not liable for damages or losses that may result from your travel to Bulgaria. The British Foreign and Commonwealth Office help travellers stay safe overseas. Check these latest advice on conditions in and general information. It is your responsibility to ensure you have the necessary visa’s if required and any inoculations. 10. Insurance
You are strongly advised to travel with adequate travel insurance, as the cost of medical expenses overseas can be very high, if you suffer an accident or illness.
11. Force majeure
Force majeure shall include (but is not limited to) government intervention, war or threat of war, civil commotion, fire, flood, earthquake, accident, storm, terrorist attack or industrial action affecting Balkan Rent or its suppliers.
12. Complaints
If you have a complaint you must tell the accommodation reception/management immediately to enable them to take action to rectify the situation. Balkan Rent cannot be held responsible for any loss or damages caused by the acts, omissions or negligence of any third party supplier.
13. Disclaimer
The information on this site is posted in good faith but Balkan Rent cannot guarantee that it is completely free from inaccuracies and typographical errors and does not accept liability for any error or omission on this site.
Hotels and other suppliers of services on this site are independent businesses and not agents or employees of Balkan Rent or its affiliates. Balkan Rent and its affiliates are not liable for any acts, omissions, breaches or negligence of any such suppliers or any damages or expenses resulting from the aforesaid. Balkan Rent and its affiliates are not liable for any refunds in the event of overbooking or force majeure or any other cause beyond their control. Proceeding with your reservation means you expressly accept such charges.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Balkan Rent, its affiliates and suppliers and any of their respective employees and agents from and against any claims, actions, demands, fines, damages or any other legitimate costs or expenses including but not limited to legal and accounting fees brought by you or your agents in excess of the liability outlined above, or by third parties as a result of your breach of this agreement or contravention of any laws or rights of a third party.
15. General
These terms and conditions contain some exclusions and limitations of liability. If any part of the conditions proves to be not valid or unenforceable, the rest of the conditions will remain valid. The invalid or unenforceable condition will be deemed as supplanted by an enforceable and valid form conveying the same meaning. Any dispute will be governed by the non-exclusive law and jurisdiction of the Bulgarian court.
16. Currency converter
Currency rates are based on various publicly available sources and are not updated daily, so cannot be guaranteed as completely accurate and should be used as guidelines only.
